iSilo™ Install Conduit for HotSync®

The iSilo™ Install Conduit is used to install documents to external memory cards of your Palm OS® handheld when you perform a HotSync®. However, in order for HotSync® to call the conduit to do its work, the conduit must be registered.

Registering the iSilo™ Install Conduit

Whenever you use iSiloX to convert a document and the destination includes an external memory card HotSync® destination, iSiloX automatically registers the conduit if it is not already registered and its version of the conduit is not older than the already registered version. It may be older in the case where the user has installed a newer version of iSiloX in a different location but continues to use the older version for some reason.

If you ever need to force HotSync® to use the version of the iSilo™ Install Conduit included with this version of iSiloX, you can do the following:

  1. In the Tools menu, click iSilo Install Conduit.
  2. Click Register.
  3. Click Done.

Unregistering the iSilo™ Install Conduit

To prevent the iSilo™ Install Conduit from installing documents to external memory cards, you can unregister it. To do so, follow these steps:
  1. In the Tools menu, click iSilo Install Conduit.
  2. Click Unregister.
  3. Click Done.
Please note that the next time you use iSiloX to convert a document that includes an external memory card HotSync® destination, iSiloX automatically re-registers the conduit.
