Options: Logging
The Logging properties page allows you to turn
logging of conversion and connection messages on or off.
Conversion Logging
Conversion messages occur while content is being converted.
The most common type of conversion message you may
encounter is one that tells you that a file could not be
opened. The referenced file is probably the target of a
broken hyperlink. Such messages can help you verify what
parts of your document might be broken.
Save conversion messages to a file
By default, iSiloX does not save conversion messages to a file.
To turn on logging of conversion messages to a file, do the following:
- Check Save conversion messages to a file.
- Enter in the edit box the full path name of the file to which
you want to save the log.
- Specify the Maximum size of old messages to keep.
After a new conversion on the document list, if the size
of the current log file exceeds the given maximum size, only
the last part of the old log up to that maximum size is
kept and then the new log is appended to the end of it.
Connection Logging
Connection messages are mainly the messages transferred
between iSiloX and HTTP web servers when iSiloX downloads
content from them. These messages may help in troubleshooting
HTTP communication problems.
