How much does iSiloX cost?
Nothing. You can use iSiloX without paying a license fee.
However, iSilo™, the document reader, does require
a license fee. Please visit the
iSilo.com online store
for pricing.
Are there versions of iSiloX for platforms other than Windows®?
There is a version of iSiloX for Mac OS that runs under Mac OS 8.6,
Mac OS 9.1, and Mac OS X.
For iSiloXC, the command-line version of iSiloX, versions are
currently available for Windows®, Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X,
and Solaris™.
Can I convert my .icl file from iSiloWeb to a .ixl file so
that I can use it in iSiloX?
No you can not. You will need to create new entries in iSiloX.
Does iSiloX have command-line options?
Yes, as of version 3.01 of iSiloX for Windows®.

What source file formats does iSiloX support?
You can use iSiloX to convert HTML,
text, Palm Doc, GIF, JPEG, PNG, and BMP content to a document in
iSilo™ 3.x format. iSiloX also supports styling of HTML
with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).
How can I convert the content of a Microsoft Word document?
From within Microsoft Word, first save the document in HTML format
(Word 98 and earlier) or to Web Page format (Word 2000/XP). You can then
use iSiloX to convert the HTML
document to iSilo™ format.
Can I convert the content of an Adobe PDF document?
No, this is not supported but is being investigated for the future.

How can I create a document in the iSilo™ 3.x/4.x format?
You can use iSiloX to convert HTML,
text, Palm Doc, GIF, JPEG, PNG, and BMP content to a document in
iSilo™ 3.x/4.x format.
How can I predefine bookmarks?
As of version 3.05 of iSiloX and iSiloXC, you can predefine bookmarks.
Please consult the documentation for more information.
How can I create an external hyperlink from one document
to another?

Can iSilo™ 2.x read documents in the
iSilo™ 3.x/4.x document format?
No it can not. iSilo™ 2.x can only read documents in the
iSilo™ 1.x/2.x document format. However, please note that
iSilo™ 3.x/4.x can read documents in the
iSilo™ 3.x/4.x
format as well as documents in the iSilo™ 1.x/2.x format.
What document types can iSilo™ 3.x/4.x read?
iSilo™ 3.x/4.x can read documents in the
iSilo™ 3.x/4.x,
iSilo™ 1.x/2.x, and Palm Doc formats.
Note that iSilo™ although iSilo&trade 3.x can read
documents in iSilo™ 4.x format, it can not take advantage
of any new features introduced by the new format.
Can I use iSiloX to convert documents for use
with iSilo™ 2.x?
No you can not. iSiloX can only generate documents in the
iSilo™ 3.x/4.x format.
